“Smooth complexity with soft tannins”

Smocked, pungent aromas of black and blue fruits and dark chocolate, with a peppery overtone. Plush and appealingly sweet, offering spicy blackberry and boysenberry flavors and a hint of mocha. Finishes with a good breadth and lenght, leaving a smoke note behind.

Vines are from 9 to 35 year old, supported by vase and trellis, in a calcareous and franc-clay soil at an altitude in between 560 to 750 m. Hand harvested and cooled in cold-storage rooms before going through the selection table.
Fermentation takes place at a temperature of 22-26°C. There is a short skin soaking and a nine-month ageing in French oak barrels.
